Our job is totally a vounteer labor of love . We make sure threads are appropriate and don't have language that only a drunken sailor would use in the posts. the job description is pretty varied and would be hard to describe without putting the bimbos reading it to sleep at times. The question we can't answer are questions such as what day will the new clothes arrive? what day will we know the results of the Lisa Delicious contest?

I see you commonly saying "this isn't a question for mods" so my question is... what are questions for mods... what exactly do you do, what can you answer for us (that isn't already answered elsewhere) What is the point of this thread if you can't answer most the things being brought up?
That's a good question. I'll address this as openly as honestly as I can. *Warning, VERY LONG POST*

For the most part, we monitor the chat on the forums. There is a basic set of rules that the posters should abide by, and we go monitor making sure that these rules are being followed. In turn, if these rules are not being followed, we then have a set of guidelines that we follow in order to take action. We close threads, delete threads, edit threads, and speak to players about various things in their posts.
The mods are as varied as the player base is, and each mod has their interpretation of what is right and what needs to be dealt with. If an action is taken in the forums, (such as closing threads and the like), then it is sometimes because the individual mod interpreted that certain rules are being broken. All of the other mods understand and support that mods decision, because if that mod believed the rules were being broken, then the player base that they represent usually did too.
MOST times when a thread is closed, deleted, or when there is any action taken against a player the situation is discussed before hand by the mods that are online at that time, and the action is agreed upon by the majority. There have been situations in the past where sometimes an action is taken and the mods discuss the issue and agree that the action was too harsh, but this will happen VERY rarely. We work as a team, and even if individuals in our team do not always agree with things we will support the others decision, thus if one mod says something in a thread (in an official manner and not just chatting) then they are speaking for all mods.
But, say for example on the of Admins do not agree with our decision. They have complete and utter veto power over this decision and while we have the right to dispute their veto (which seldom happens), we do not have the ability to over ride their decision. The Admins in turn do read the forums, but no where near as often or as in depth as the Mods, and leave most of the Moderation decisions up to us while providing guidance over the general choices. They have other issues to deal with, while we do not.
We also do misc. things like monitoring names, signatures, and keeping an eye out for cheaters, or things like multiple posts and spam.
So, on the bad side of our job we lay down the law. Sadly, this bit takes up a good portion of our time, but in some cases it is needed. Though, every day we hope for less and less of this work, because the less of it we have to do the closer to our goal we are. Which is to make the game (to a certain extent) and the forums a friendly and safe place for people of all ages and backgrounds.
On the better side of our job, we provide a go between for the player base and the Admins. If there are serious questions that we cannot answer, problems, or issues that come up, rather than expecting one of the Admins to search through all of the chatter about these things, we bring it up to them to address. So in a way, we are also like Customer Service for the posters.
Each of the Admins have a specific job when dealing with the game and rely on the Moderators to bring up the issues pertaining to their specific job. Such as Nico and now Deathray work on fixing the bugs. While they do look through the Bugs and Glitches forum in depth, it is up to us mods to watch those forums and try our best to consolidate the posts so that they don't have to spend as much time reading the same bug over and over again... in turn having more time to actually work on fixing the problems.
I hope that helps give you a better idea as to what we as Moderators do here. Keep in mind this is only the third day for many of the Moderators (myself included), so I could be leaving out a few things.
AmberLillith wrote:

Had you not included (that isn't already answered elsewhere) this answer would have been much longer. But to be honest, not really much. There is so much advice on the game play and rules already provided (many by our wonderful posters) that in a way it does sort of make this sticky a little redundant.
But we keep it here so that people can have some human interaction to their questions. A good example of an answer to your question is your question itself. I don't think it's actually listed in depth what the Moderators actually do on the boards, there is some information but in asking you also received a little more of a personal response. So, just from this question alone, it has made the entire sticky worthwhile.
Plus, and I don't speak for all the moderators in this, I personally enjoy answering questions.
As to the point of the thread if we can't answer most of the things brought up, well... in more recent cases a lot of the questions have been more of a support issue. While we cannot answer those questions directly, we can point people in the right direction of where it should be asked, or in some cases where the answer may lie.
I often asked the point of the thread myself, but then I come in here and see questions like this and the point is revealed.
Thank you so much for such a refreshing question.
It took so long for me to type this out another Moderator got to your question before me... and then I got kicked out of the game without the ability to log back in. Yay for bugs. hehe
Oh, and it's ok to wake up now... I'm done talking.

My personal opinion as to what mods do for bimbo is: They take alot of heat for things that are not their fault. They observe the forums and make sure that there is no nonsense taking place. They volunteer their time, energy and thoughts! They actually try to make the forums a better place to post. Above all they accept and read all the pm's that are being sent to them about concerns that we may have as a person or as a group! This unpaid job is not easy I am sure, but I am sure that they do their best to be fair, nonjudgemental, and vigilant within their duties. I for one believe that the mod team that we have now.......will be a great one to look forward to in the future. Not that the past selection has been bad, but alot of things have taken place to the point that a change was obviously overdue! I wish you all the best of luck and good things in the future. Not too mention they have the overwhelming obsticle of balancing their own lives to be able to be here for us as a whole. This is no small job im sure!

I think this is a great idea to post about the Mods general duties and roles on the forums. Not only does it clarify to other members what you can help them with, but also it demonstrates just how hard you all have to work. I for one understand it's not an easy task to be a Mod, and that sometimes it can have you pulling your hair out in frustrating at some of the daft things ordinary users expect of you. But hey, I think the new mods are all doing a spendid job adjusting to their new work roles, and they are making a great job of keeping the forums a nice happy place to be.
So just a small thank you from me to each and everyone of you for all working so hard at what can be a very difficult job to do. Thank you.

Not dissing what you guys do, but I just can't really see myself working for an extended period of time on something, taking a lot of heat, putting lots of effort into it- and not getting paid. They should pay you, or credit you a certain amount of BD a week, haha

my question is....what happens if no mods turns up in the forum for a few days? I mean, how 'available' do you all have to be, and is it more work than you initially thought?

It is definitely time consuming, However because we care very much about making the site enjoyable for all members one or more is logged in at any given time
and all of us attempt to answer personal messages promptly. When we accepted this job we were made alert to the fact that with te exception of Vacations we were expected to check in daily.if one of us is going to be away,we notify the other mods so that any slack can be absorbed quickly.the site.By doing our job it frees the administrators to improve Miss Bimbo. Its highly unlikely that you would ever find all 13 mods absent at the same time for days on end.I hope this answers your question completely.

Obviously there are many issues and concerns with the way warnings are being given to players. I read in Bebe's post that warnings/bannings are a private matter between players and mods. While I respect that stance, my concern is for everyone else. I feel it is important for the all of the users of the forum to know and understand what actions cause other players to receive warnings/bannings. This way people can avoid said actions. I believe more transparancy in the forums about warnings/bannings will help clear up some of the current issues.

Hate to say this it's really a question for the Admins. There is an Admin Q&A thread in the Girls VIP area.
I am sorry.

This isn't really a question so much as it is a request before I get super hostile.
If you're going to warn somebody, could you please point out what they did within the warning? Screenshot it, copy-pasta, tweak the mind into remember?
Greatly appreciated, kthx.

Not a problem, and usually if not always do.

Usually, but you didn't.
You're so vague it could be a number of things. I'm not going to sit here and chase my tail around for your amusement.
Be straight up, yo.

Sorry about that, going to send you a PM.

I was reading your rules for the forum and I was just wondering if you could clarify for me, and probably other Bimbos, what is the difference between a newer player and an experienced one? Is it the level you've reached, how many days you've played? Since the punishments are different for the two I just think this should be explained.
Thank you!
