Re: Breaking out of the food thread..

Oh my god, that is... yeeeeeeech!!!  That's scary!  I think I would have had a heart attack!!!

So you were being pelted by flying bee carcasses?!!!?!?!?  And that poor sweet little bunny.....

My mom actually DID get attacked by a whole hive once when she was little, and she didn't die.  She just looked really freakish for about a week, to the point where the neighbors wouldn't come over XD

Re: Breaking out of the food thread..

It just really scared me because we have africanized bees out here. When those bees die, they release a hormone that pisses off the other bees, who come in on the attack.

If you challenge me, watch it, because I won't. I have enough wins to carry me through to level 25, and expecting me to watch 150+ challenges when I'm on the list is ridiculous.

Re: Breaking out of the food thread..

Ah.  See, they're scared those bees might come to this area in like 10 years, so not quite the same fear.  Yes, I guess you COULD have died.

*lots of hugs*

Goodnight you guys! I hope you sleep well.

And I'm sorry you had that scare, Adacatcher. And poor bunny! I send lots of hugs and virtual cookies.

Nemaine - Just keep plopping big old dots of turmeric on your robe, and it can be a polka dotted food fashion statement!

..I'm past the point where I know what I'm talking about.

Re: Breaking out of the food thread..

I decided to come here in response to the finger wagging.

I say nay! I refuse!

I should, I know, but it's so stupid and I just have.. to.. watch.. I'm so not used to this much drama.

But currently I'm just listening to various Whedon songs.

Re: Breaking out of the food thread..

*stretches*

Morning.

I had the weirdest dreams, but I don't remember them. I normally do.  neutral

EDIT: WTH. I leave just long enough to sleep and all heck breaks loose. Why don't people understand that if they act jerky it brings them to the attention of moderators? I'm not commenting on the 'fairness' of anything here, as things don't have to be fair. This isn't our forum, and it's not a democracy. If I wanted fair I would have stayed in kindergarten with my fingerpaints. I mean, do people really think something good will come of antagonizing the mods/admin? If someone came into my house and acted jerky, I'd sure as hell kick them out -- probably whether they were correct or not. Because no one is rude to me in my house. I make the rules, and if someone doesn't like it, they can leave, and I'll help them to do so.

Again, I'm not commenting on 'fairness' as I believe it has no place in this discussion.

On a slightly different topic, does anyone find it highly ironic that all sorts of people call one another naive and immature here, yet all the drama seems to occur in the Grownup's VIP?

Re: Breaking out of the food thread..

Ada!~  Why Hallo!!!

Yes!  The dramu is incredibly silly.  Its very middleschool.  Is all of it fair?  No.  But I think if both sides calmed down it'd be much better--seriously, pick your battles, people.  Pick your battles.  Its just escalating now because both sides are so desperate to win, when they should just be concentrating on having a fun time.

Though I'm almost tempted to stay on here a little longer to watch the trainwreck. big_smile

I think we should shy away from dramu though, so we can talk about more important things tongue

In other news, I ate too many of those darn cookies.

Amagad calm down and eat some cookies, people!

I'm about to heat up some of my cheesy pasta concoction. I have about an hour before I have to leave for work. Hopefully my commute will be bee-free!

What do you do, Nemaine?

Re: Breaking out of the food thread..

Look for a job and eat too much in my sad, the-economy-is-bad-and-no-one-is-hiring, sad world.

To plug myself--I have a lot of things going for me, so I know I can do more than most recent grads and do everything I'm given well.  I hate being pushy though, so job searching right now is really not going well.  I know I gotta be more pushy, but.................

hmm  so I've been on missbimbo way too much because I'm avoiding a lot of things.

EDIT:  I still do some freelance graphic design, I Just don't want that to be my job.  Graphic design.... gets tiring.

Re: Breaking out of the food thread..

Yeah, the economy bites right now. Are you free-lancing actively, or did you have to pick up a part-time job until things improve?

Oh, and I'm looking through clipart right now... buncha random images of people cooking, and I have yet to see a female wearing a toque. sad

Of course, there is also always Cooking Mama (she is SO CUTE)

From the food thread, so it can stay on-topic.

That is........... ph0owaor.  Crazytalk.

Actually, you spend hours every day (8am-3pm) in a little room with about five other students, talking with korean people and reading and writing and watching movies. The workbooks and tapes are actually really nice. I wish I still had mine, but I threw them away. (I am what's known as a sponge, as I could bring nothing to class but my cd player and my journal and still graduate in the top 10% of my class, thus earning the ire of my fellows). After class you can go to the language library, study hall or talk with a tutor. Since the classes are staggered, with one starting every few weeks, there's always someone ahead of you who will be glad to tutor.

Re: Breaking out of the food thread..

That's kind of cool.  I'd say my BF is also a sponge--our classes were never that long, but he could look over material for approximately 15 minutes (listening & reading) the night before and have everything perfect in class.

On average, it would take students 3-6 hours to remember the material necessary for the next day (it certainly took me that long).

When he applied to study abroad, the professors actually plopped him in the Japanese foreign exchange program our university is most proud of, no interview or questions necessary.

sorry, i plug him cuz I miss him :3

Anyway its cool that that's how they do it; I'm very bad with languages (though I try my best) and find that if I watch a movie or something in a foreign tongue I just get distracted.  Its neat to see how other people's brains work!

I'mma have to get off soon here to do some 'productive" things but, talk to you later, def! big_smile

Re: Breaking out of the food thread..

Yeah, I gotta skedaddle for work now. Bye!

*huggles*

If you challenge me, watch it, because I won't. I have enough wins to carry me through to level 25, and expecting me to watch 150+ challenges when I'm on the list is ridiculous.

I can work on a bimbo in an apron & toque if you want, but no idea when it'll be done if you guys want that.

Have you seen the baker's outfit on the French site? Ma-bimbo is being worked on right now so no one can log in but here's an old picture I have of some of the job outfits:

Hope that helps, I can give you an image with your choice of hair, skin and makeup later too. Toodles!
