i like the idea, but i don't like that so many girls have made a paris hilton or something like this...i expected many marilins, kleopatras,,or some real important women that made something for the hisotry, but -***-paris? yes, she's a bimbo, but the theme wasn't to make a bimbo, it was to make famous women through history. i don't know how famous and especcially for what (?!) will paris be in 10,20,50 years???

i saw no marie curie
and no kleopatra

But Paris is famous, and history includes yesterday. So she falls in that category (sadly

Histerija is right.
Comparing all those Britneys, Parises and Christinas to such wonderful historic personalities like Greta Garbo, Audrey Hepburn or Marlene Dietrich makes me really sick...
Of course - it's Your contest - Your rules...

I.. don't think it should be taken too seriously. Just a fun contest.
As I said before, they're famous, and history includes 2 seconds ago

Hmm I don't think it's about who loves what person. Maybe it's easier for some people to make a Paris/Nicole costume than Cleopatra. There's a good mixture of people in the contest.

I agree. I think alot of girls were able to find numerous pictures of modern girls and could copy those outfits.
Having done Marie Antoinette I can tell you it was not easy to put together at all. The other problem is I could not properly represent her because the clothes are so modern.
Many of the historical woman never wore anything comparable to the available clothes... so it was harder to present those women.

That about sums it up
Well done.
Some people really did a good job at putting the clothes together. There's a Twiggy one and I think it's awesome

It is the clothes that make it hard. I wanted to do Marilyn Monroe (I did, the first one on there if you take a peek!!!) I didn't have 12000 BD to buy the white mary dress to do the most obvious choice so I searched for prob an hour before I could find a pic I was happy with that I could try to copy the look of. I ended up using the $1 dress! How funny is that. it's so much easier to do a britney or nicole or (ugh) ashley tisdale, which there were TOO many of, but those of us who might have had to try harder will get more satisfaction if we win. *wink, wink*

i think everyone must have had a different interpretation of what the contest was supposed to be.
I did Anne Nicole Smith. I don't know how famous she will be in 50 years, but she IS a bimbo! Some of the entries I saw were of what I consider very respectable women. Hmmm.
And also, yes it was hard with the clothes that we currently have. It was also hard because some of them still don't fit. I ended up using a skirt where half her leg is showing!

I must say one thing, xxxsabrina as examples put Audrey and Marylin (if I good remember), obviously history doesn't mean something that has happened in last ten years basing on the examples of the mod who were the idea giver.
I think that Histerija is absolutely right.
Famous bimbos through history - for me that means that we have made people who already are part of history, not workin on it as many stars from XXIst century.
It would be just unfair to judge Marie Antoinette and Hilton in one row, especially when you glance on clothes at nine's. Maybe you should differ it to living and dead bimbos.

Of course, she is a bimbo, but the theme of the contest wasn't just "Famous bimbos", but "Famous bimbos through HISTORY".. and I don't think that Anne Nicole Smith is a part of history yet

I have the choice to study the war in Iraq in History... And it's not even over yet =/
History is anything in the past, no matter the time scape.
I had Anne Bonney in my head before I even opened the topic, and god was she hard to do :S
