How to make sigs and avi's

Hello Ive been getting a few questions on how to do sigs and avis so i decided to made a help thread for it, Here will be a few helpful links to get you started. There is no exact way to make banners and avis, you just have to be creative, experiment, and practice!

First off you need a photo edititing Program, for example:
Gimp, Photoshop, Photofiltre, Paint shop pro, Ect..
I use Gimp Because its free, easy, and can do almost everything Photoshop can.

Once you have one of those above, you'll need brushes:
(Photoshop brushes are now compatible with gimp)

Q: How do i Install brushes to (your photo editing program here)?

A: here are some tutorials Ive found for each program on how to install brushes.
(Hint: WinRar is a very helpful software to have when un zipping folders. Download it free here)

Next you will need Fonts! You can download them for any program here

Q: How do i install fonts to (your photo editing program here)?

A: I find it very similar to adding brushes, but here's some tutorials to help you out!

I could not find any tutorials on how to install fonts to Photofiltre or paint shop pro,
If you have or find a tutorial for them please PM me. ( i will credit you if you made the tutorial yourself)

Now that you have everything you need your going to have to experiment and practice! That is the key to making avi's and sigs. smile I have made a few tutorials myself for gimp and Photoshop i am currently taking requests for gimp tutorials, if you have a tutorial request PM me.

You can also Google tutorials for your photoediting program.

Using your sig:

when you upload your sig to missbimbo you can copy the link then go to "info" and paste the link in the signature box thing ( xD ) and use this code [img]link here![/img]

Q: How do i add a link to my sig??

A: Follow the instructions above, Then copy the desired link you want to add to your sig (so when you click your sig it leads to that link) then paste it in the sig box, And use this code [img]Picture link here![/img]

Hope you do. It took me 3 hours to make this tutorial, then when i clicked preveiw missbimbo had logged me out sniff so i had t do it over again so i lost another 3 hours but i saved every hour just incase! xD

thank you. i have another question. i do not really want to write on my signature section. all i want to do is put in a small picture. i've tried to follow the directions in the help section but when i bring up my pictures i do not have an option of "use as signature"

but the thing is i cant delete my signature. everytime i replace it it doesn't chnge and the same thing happens when i delete????

Go to your profile and click on the 'Upload new photo' tab, browse for your file and click 'save'. It should now be in the ' My Photos' tab. On the right side you should see, under te heading 'action', the word 'avatar'. Click this to set it as your avatar.
